We call it a Labor of Love.

In collaboration with over a hundred unions, labor councils, and the United Way of the Columbia-Willamette, Labor's Community Service Agency has held an annual holiday toy event: Presents from Partners (PFP) since 1997. Presents from Partners is a labor of love brought together by an incredible team of volunteers from across the union community all working to bring holiday cheer to hundreds of union families experiencing hardship.

Toy Drive

As part of PFP, we hold a unionwide toy drive to help collect the amazing gifts we deliver. The toy drive is a friendly competition within the labor community, with each local union throwing their hat in to win the award of ‘Most Toys Collected for PFP’.

Delivery Event

Presents from Partners is a referral-based program – members are referred through their union – and participants have the following delivered to their door on a Saturday in December:

• Gifts hand-picked based on the age and interests of each child in the family

• Stockings sewn by union volunteers and filled with goodies

• Gifts gathered by IBEW FCU staff and members for the parents

• Gift cards for additional holiday needs donated by local unions

• Box of nonperishable foods

• And more supplies and support to aid families through the holiday season!

We will be holding a Presents From Partners 2023 Debrief on Tuesday, March 26th at 6:30 pm over Zoom. Please join us to discuss how last year's Presents From Partners event went, give feedback and provide ideas for this December's event, and express interest in being involved in Presents From Partners 2024.
